The dragon (if you haven't noticed im having trouble remembering anyone's names lol) was unexpected, ill say that. Also, that lip licking was SOOOOOOOOO UNNECESSARY.

I was legitimately about to walk out of the movie until they pulled the "dur im not sexually assaulting you, just torturing you" which is still garbage, but i could at least deal with that and the inevitability of what happened next, random Natsu appearing to save the day. And then of course they made him a sadist that has imprisoned a bunch of women to drain them of their blood in an over the top sexualized manner. Throughout the movie he just gets weaker though, only using his power effectively on 1 member of FT 1x. He had a really dirty magic and it seemed like he was going to be a real threat. The first villian we're introduced to was actually kinda badass at first. They each had over the top personalities that came off as annoying more so than funny. What can i say about the villians? 3 of them were there solely to fight, 0 character motivation, 0 background, 0 fucks given. My theater accidentally played some of the Dub for about 10 minutes before switching it out, and there were 2 jokes in particular that had changed punchlines, and the english version was 10x funnier both times IMO, so i look forward to watching the dub for the better jokes. This movie delivered for me when it came to laughs and the FT we know and love. Happy had some great moments too, my favorite being his reaction to charla's transformation. Juvia consistently had me smiling with her Gray sama loving antics, and was never a disappointment. Some jokes were admittedly childish, but i think anyone watching FT doesn't mind a bit of immaturity. I laughed quite a few times, as did the other patrons of the theater. However, the story, the plot, the villains, all left me rather unimpressed.

The Guild shenanigans were in full force, the humor was on point, and it FELT like fairy tail. This movie had some real highs and some real lows.
